This SQL Server project developed an inventory control program for a busy repair shop:
Inventory counts are automatically updated during invoice preparation, or when mechanics take parts off the shelf. Required inventory for pending sales and parts below minimum stock are seamlessly computed in real time.
Maintaining inventory is complicated. You could have several people adding or deleting items to various invoices, while others are ordering or receiving parts. In the middle all this, someone might be re-checking stock counts.
