This project developed a suite of SQL Server-based programs for maintaining faculty CVs in a relational database.
Also developed is an integrated row-oriented security model (written entirely in triggers) for managing
unlimited numbers of groups, each accessing its own subset of data. Departments (or any set of people)
may form ad-hoc groups on the fly, specifying what data group members may see.
The Web version provides the functionality of the core software using the Internet. Any Web browser may be used to perform database updates. Desktop users can simultaneously use the program on either platform. Related ProjectsA related program schedules students within a Problem-Based Learning environment.
Students are automatically assigned to groups within blocks for each school year,
minimizing the number of times any two of them meet while balancing group size based on gender and other factors.
Different scheduling criteria allow administrators to custom-design their timetables to meet a variety of needs.
